Today on Ant’s birthday, I am thankful for… My Hubba (as I affectionately call him).
I know that Ant gets roped in to this Naked world of mine all the time, and he does so as a willing participant cause he knows that I need an outlet. So on his special day let me share an insight in to the hubba that I married!
There is so much I love about this crazy bearded dude but what I love most about him is that he chose me to share his ‘happy’ with! He’s my bestest friend in the world! Life isn’t easy, it’s not all perfect “Barbie and Ken” moments and I find that with each day I learn something new on this journey as we evolve in to different versions of ourselves; that’s where this guy makes the journey better! He teaches me so much, he’s the constant diplomat, but he certainly likes to challenge me and push me so that I realize my own potential as he realizes his own! He makes me laugh so much and irritates me at the same time, an endearing trait! He’s a big old softy and a total geek… I call him my walking encyclopedia of random facts! I love that he loves his soccer like the mad devotee that he is! He sings Irish ditties and crazy dances with me (sometimes Winston feels the need to join us… He’s crazy too)! I love that we are both loons and we have our own way of talking to Winston even when he’s not there. I love the loyalty this man has. Only those that are in his fold will understand the lengths that he will go to have your back, his support is his word. Every day that passes I am thankful that this man walked into my life and that he broke down the barriers to make it so easy to love him. He puts up with a lot from me especially considering I can be an emotional yo-yo who is supremely independent and often stubborn, but then I realise these are the attributes that I love in him too! But most of all I am thankful that every day I have left on this earth that I get to wake up next to him and call him my Hubba! So happy birthday Anty, sorry I haven’t brought you a pressie yet but I think our surprise date tonight will make up for it!!!
