Today, I am letting you in on a secret; I am thankful for… my acupuncturist, Kelly!
I’m relatively new to acupuncture, having been doing it for the past few months. Lately acupuncture has become a very important part of my personal Self-care Wellness Plan and my acupuncturist, the lovely Kelly of Ondol Oriental Medicine Clinic, has become a very important member of what I call my ‘My Naked Support Crew’. My ‘Crew’ supports me through my journey… pre-treatment, post-treatment, ongoing maintenance and to ensure my inner healing remains on track. Kelly has been wonderful in keeping me in line, lifting me up when I am emotionally flat and without a doubt helping me manage the ailments that come hand-in-hand with cancer like my ‘elephant arm’ Old Lymphie!
Today, my post treatment obligatory ‘rest day’ had me feeling pretty fatigued, I’m not going to lie… I had a nice big sleep in shhhhhhh, but once again I’m in awe of this beautiful therapy as I walk away feeling much lighter and clearer of mind and Old Lymphie seems happy too as my puffiness subsides. I’m a big believer in using well-researched complimentary therapies, like acupuncture to support my conventional treatment. I think they all have a place in each person’s chosen path with their own self-care maintenance. For me I believe it’s important to be in-charge of my own health and inner healing, where I can. Because let’s face it all the best achievers in the world have amazing crews behind them to give them much-needed assistance, we all need a helping hand don’t we! Have you tried acupuncture, or have you got an amazing crew that helps you through each day? Share your thanks below!
With love, light and gratitude xx
