Today I am thankful for… Quick scan days!!!
Today I had my first scan for the year, and it’s the first scan since last year’s fantastic NED result.
I didn’t sleep well last night… Even after my second weights session for the week with Ant, you would think that I’d be exhausted but my mind was too active. I spent a couple of hours investigating Steve Avery of “Making a Murderer” in my mind and then my obvious health situation ran through its own far too realistic storyline in my head. So when I rolled up for scans today I was shocked when it was all over and done with in just over an hour! This may not seem a big deal to many but for me it is a crazy new record! Usually the cannula process is an ordeal in itself but my lovely nurse listened well to my guidance and we hit a home run first go. I think I made a new best friend today!!! A brief wait with some quietly contemplative friends as we all glared absently at the old midday soap on the box, and before I knew it I was in for scans!
When I have big days like today that are emotionally draining in themselves I am humbly grateful when processes run smoothly, when pain is minimized and when I can go home early and regroup for the next big and most confronting step… the wait for results.
So thank you radiology team for making today relatively painless! Time to kick back, lay in the hammock and finish my book, while the hound patrols the neighborhood!!!
Tell me beautiful Nakeds, what are you thankful for today?

With love, light and bundles of gratitude xx
