I am thankful for… a great two weeks!
While I was away on holidays I missed my Thankful Thursday so today let me share my gratitude with you from this time!
I am thankful for a holiday.
I am thankful that my husband and I could celebrate our first wedding anniversary together and in good health.
I am thankful that I can travel.
I am thankful for the amazing weather we experienced.
I am thankful for the encouragement to take a dip in the sea, even if it was bloody cold and I couldn’t feel my toes!
I am thankful for Sunny, our little VW convertible that got us from A to B.
I am thankful for spontaneous moments like sitting around a makeshift bonfire in a muddy field and staring up at the stars in the New Zealand sky while listening to cool beats and being present in the moment.
I am thankful for indulgences.
I am thankful we made our ferry.
I am thankful for the time we had to spend with my beautiful best friend Anna, who I miss immensely and to see her blossom in her new surrounds.
I am thankful to see travel friends and reminisce.
I am thankful for safe travels.
I am thankful for the man who mistakenly took my luggage when we returned to Brisbane and drove it all the way back to me from country Toowoomba.
I am thankful for my parents, Nanny and Poppy who took good care of our little hound Winston while we were away.
I am thankful for new memories.
I am thankful for clear scans and NED (no evidence of disease).
I am thankful for my last treatment day.
I am thankful that Keytruda was made accessible to me in order for me to thrive up to this point in my life!
I am forever thankful to Ron Walker, the team at MSD and the PA Hospital.
I am thankful for my Oncology Angels, the nurses who made each treatment bearable, who reassured me, treated me gently and became part of my cancer journey and family.
I am thankful for this new chapter in my life….
AND
I am thankful for each experience and the attitude, love and support I accept and receive with each step.
I am thankful for love.
I am thankful for accepting.
I am thankful I believe in me.
I am thankful for nourishing my mind, body and soul.
I am thankful to… Live!
